We had a fantastic time at your chalet... the chalet is beautiful, the setting magnificent and there was so much to see and do. I had never seen the Mont Blanc glaciers in the summer ... they are awesome, huge and so wild. We managed some canoeing, rafting and tree-top climbing as well as a few mountain walks and a trip to Italy; our youngest was too young for canyoning so that will have to be another holiday!
Thank you for your generosity with the chalet. All the rooms are lovely and we do like your artwork. The beds were very comfortable, the snug-room just what its name says it is, the kitchen area very well-equipped and usable and the living area, spacious and airy with wonderful views. We are currently in the process of building a chalet in Veysonnaz, Switzerland, which is about 1 1/2 hours from Combloux; it is going to be hard to live up to yours! However, when it is up and running, it would be lovely to meet up with you either in France or Switzerland.
It would be good to stay in touch.

As we just come back from our wonderful week in the chalet, I wanted to
thank you and give you our feedback.
First of all, our group asked me to thank you a lot, and present our
greetings, because we have never seen such a nice and cosy chalet. It's like at home !
The chalet is very very comfy and well situated, and we were so happy with our trip !We are wordless to tell you how great it was. We have marvellous memories and will recall our stay for a long time.
Luckily we had sun and snow outside, and moreover there was an atmosphere in the chalet that made us feel so good (is it Feng Shui compliant ?). We just adore the huge living room, fire place, bedrooms, and paintings (especially for me, the painting with the young women in Ao Dai and Non La, in the games room, as I am half vietnamese !).
Everybody, and particularly the kids, would really appreciate if you could tell us where to find those lovely blankets (one side this silky shiny fabric, the other side looking like fur), we're all dreaming about getting the same !
You and Susie, have a delicious savoir-faire for making this chalet a dreamy place (and believe me, I have been travelling to several chalets and villas all over again).
The kitchen is particularly well equipped and it was a pleasure for me
cooking during the stay.
Definitely my best choice ever. And the morning view over the Mont Blanc, sigh !!!
By the way François-Xavier was helpful and friendly, as of people in the village. I will strongly recommand Chalet Rafaelle to my friends and relatives.

Everything was just perfect - even the weather! We were so lucky having three glorious days of sunshine, and good skiing in the mornings.
We loved the chalet. Waking up to those views on a morning was magical (thought we had good views at Bourget but yours take some beating). I had a super birthday - even had a fly by of the hot air balloons, from Praz Sur Arly, breakfast time on my birthday!
The chalet is very well equipped and Francois Xavier was very helpful. (He offered to come in and clean one day whilst we were there, but we didn't feel it was necessary for our short stay). As promised, we left the chalet clean and tidy.
Euro permitting, we hope to be in touch again some time in the future.
Can you, or more probably your wife, remember where you bought the white curved serving dishes which look like porcelain but are actually some sort of plastic? They're brilliant!

I just thought that I would drop you a line to say that we had a wonderful time in Combloux.
Your chalet was everything that we could have hoped for (and more). The immediate reaction from everyone in the party on arrival was: "Can you book it again for the same week next year?". That was still the question when we left. Can we do so? We all felt that it was the best skiing holiday that we had ever had and I feel confident that it was the chalet which made it so special.

Thinking back to our very happy week in your perfect chalet, I realize that, for various personal reasons, I never found the time to write and say how much we appreciated every detail of the arrangement. I lived it to the full as I baby sat most of the time, joining the others for sunny lunches up above. We saw the view after the first three days, but had plenty of snow and empty slopes, limited in area but perfect for the requirements of the family. There were so few people that my daughter in law had lessons with the mothers of the children in our grandchildren's class etc. It was perfect for the stage we were at.
I hope we may be able to come back one day, this year the family are going off elsewhere with friends and if we go it will be for an odd weekend or by the day.

Let me thank you for the opportunity to have a wonderful rest at your chalet. That was not the first time for us to stay at such kind of property, but yours one subjugated us with charm, taste and cosiness. We really fell in love with it and felt like at home. The planning is perfect and very comfortable. You managed to combine modern lines and chalet’s charm. And what a magnificent view! We also built a country house near Moscow and decided that the next one will look like yours.))) (My husband even asked me to find out if it’s possible to buy a project of the house).
We really cared properly about the house but one day when the adults were out our kids broke down the light on the wall… We really feel very sorry about it and of course paid to Danie all the money she said. We hope that Danie will make the light.
One more thank. We really would like to come back one day.

I wish you could have seen the young's faces when they came into the
'chalet' yesterday, Alexander and Lucy and their family have been
skiing, apparently in great luxury, with Scott Dunn and Mark and
Alexandra are designers of aircraft interiors and motor yacht (and
cars and lots of things) and they were all amazed at how beautiful and
practical Chalet Raffaele is. We do congratulate you on the whole
design and choice of colours, the lighting, the kitchen equipment, I
won't enumerate all the details, but we all really appreciate
everything and know just what it means to achieve such perfection,
(and we love the eastern touches).
We arrived in pouring rain and dark grey mist, but the rain changed
to snow, and this morning we have almost 5cm here and about 20 up at
the slopes, but we still haven't seen the view yet....although I know
how beautiful it is. It looks as though it may clear this afternoon,
I hope before Mark and Alexandra and their baby have to leave. We
have at least had one of our rare 24 hours with the whole family
together.
Think of us loving it all,

Sorry it's taken me so long to drop you a note but things have been
hectic since I returned from Combloux after the Marathon at the end of
June. Indeed we have just returned from our main holiday in the US so
things are now starting to settle back down into routine (sadly!)
Once again, your Chalet was fantastic, my pals were equally impressed
and I know that they have noted down the website for potential future
visits.
My two boys were very jealous of my short break, so much so that they
really want to have a summer holiday in Combloux next year so guess if
you have availability next July/August, we may well be looking to book
up!

Just got back from staying at your amazing Chalet. We loved it!!!
All worked very well fab. week of loads of snow, skiing and good
food. Madame Danny was very helpful, although I wish my French was
a little better! Anyway we would love to book again for the same week
next year so that would be from Sat 13th Feb to Sat 20th if
possible. I know you will think I am mad, but i like to be
organized. We found some great ski instructors who speak english.
Two friends who are really very professional but also made sure that
the kids had loads of fun, should you need their names for future
clients.
Combloux so very pretty and away from the madness of Megeve, you did
very well finding that chalet with that view!!!
Anyway thank you for all your help and all your great notes which
helped immensely.

I was just thinking about emailing you and thanking you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful Chalet. It was everything we could have hoped for and more, the location was perfect with views to die for and we all had a lovely holiday - thank you.
Dani was lovely and did her best to help out where she could armed with her phrase book - I really must try to learn some more French!
We made use of the child seats and stair gates and the older boys loved
spending time in the TV room and being able to access the internet.
Everything in the house has been really well thought out and it made for a wonderful holiday!
Thanks again for everything and we would love to visit again sometime.

We thought it timely now we are back doing the normal things in life to say a big thank you for renting out Chalet Rafaelle to us. We had a fantastic time in Combloux; it was perfectly situated for us to explore the surrounding area and the village itself was great for having everything we needed within walking distance.
As for your Chalet, it was simply the best holiday accomodation we have stayed in. It was so good to have all the home comforts, equipment, space, quality fixtures and fittings (not forgetting the wine you left for us!); we really couldn't fault it.
Kate and I were able to really relax and chill whilst the boys enjoyed their highlight of a parapente flight, organised through Marin Sports in the village. We also met up with some friends who live in our village who were coincidentally staying in St Gervais. We were able to share some good walks and meals whilst the kids had extra company!
It is highly likely that we would return some time in the future, indeed I am considering coming over to Chamonix with two or three friends next June to compete in the Marathon du Mont Blanc. Your Chalet would be a brilliant base but I am aware that we would only be able to stay for three or four days over the weekend of the race and that may not fit very well with your letting arrangements.
Also, please pass on our regards and thanks to Shaun for meeting us on the first day - his guided tour of the Chalet was very helpful!
Once again, thanks very much for ensuring we had the best possible base for our holiday.

I feel very badly that I did not write in March to say what a wonderful week we had in Chalet Rafaelle. The snow was the best that I can remember; we skiied in and out and the sun shone for the whole week.

Alexandra & the Paris group, Feb 2011
We were a group of 10 including 4 children, and were looking for a comfy and well located chalet, and hopefully we found Chalet Rafaelle, where we have had a wonderful stay.
This is very much a luxury chalet, with plenty of space and a very cosy atmosphere that makes you feel at home.
Exquisite design, amazing kitchen and stunning view over the Mont Blanc !
The chalet is perfect for a large group of friends/family as you are not on top of each other, kids were delighted with the games room, the table tennis and the DVDs. The large living room with high ceiling provides is great for sharing friendly moments in front of the fireplace.
It is very clean and brand new. There is a huge terrace with a BBQ and deck chairs; and all the facilities you can imagine (laundry, boot dryers, lots of cupboard etc). Large bedrooms (with incredible rugs 
) and immaculate bathrooms (one for each room).
We also appreciated to be close to all amenities : a short walk (10 mn max) to the village of Combloux and good proximity of the lifts and slopes (3 mn drive), the skiiers and non skiiers did enjoy the resort so much (fir trees everywhere !). Megeve is also very close, which is very useful for visiting, shopping, going to the swimming pool.
Neil & Susie, thank you again for your kindness ! We definitely recommend, this was our greatest experience !
