Chalet balcon du paradis Feb half term 2012
We were a group of 3 families, and stayed in the chalet during February half term. The chalet is very spacious, well stocked and very clean. We had a really lovely holiday there, as the snow was fabulous and the ski runs relatively clear for a half term holiday! The ski area was plenty large enough to keep us all happy for a week, with a good choice of red and blue runs. We used the cable car to visit La Plagne, and were impressed with this area also.
A word of caution though, the access to the ski slopes is via a set of "lobster pots" and these do not run until 08.40 each morning. You do not have time to use the lobster pots and collect skis from the ski shop, and be at ski school for 9.00 am. It is just impossible and most people had to carry skis each day, which is a nuisance. As we had 7 young children, we had to drive each day ( there s plenty of free parking near to the slopes or at the bottom of the lobster pots), but this is not a great solution either.
Overall, the resort and chalet were spectacular and I would recommend this to you.
