Chalet Chez Claude

After a short hiatus an old favourite is back in the Host Savoie stable! In over a decade of operating this chalet we hosted thousands of people and when it became available again we didn't hesitate. A cosy, spacious good value property within striking distance of the centre of Morzine makes a perfect base at any time of the year, so it is now also available for bookings between ski seasons!

This traditional residence has been in the Baud family for generations and we love the cosy atmosphere that is sometimes lacking in a new build. The chalet benefits from South and East facing balconies as well as panoramic windows, making it easy to enjoy a glass of wine whilst you take in the vista or watch the snow fall. There is also a small sauna where you can relax those aching muscles after a busy day on the hill.

At a nice distance from the centre of town Chez Claude is both convenient and peaceful. It is a 10 to 12 minute flat walk to the town centre but in that time you will pass a supermarket as well as several bars and restaurants. The nearest cable car is Super Morzine and that is located around 950m away, giving access to Avoriaz. The local Pleney slopes and ski school meeting points are on the other side of the pedestrianised town square and the two cable cars are linked by a road train.

With winter sports gear you will most likely prefer to catch the bus and both lines P and U run regularly past the chalet. Either of these will take you to Super Morzine in just a couple of minutes or Pleney in 5 minutes. Getting home from apres ski is simple enough too with Line U running until 1930. There is ample off-street parking available for anyone bringing their own car.

The entrance to the chalet is at street level and just 50 m from the bus stop connecting you to the cable cars of Super Morzine or Pleney every few minutes. Whilst the ground floor of the chalet has a ski room with heated racks in order to ensure that your boots will be warm and dry the next morning (a washing machine and tumble dryer are available here to you as well) all other facilities, including the five peaceful bedrooms, can be found on the first and second floors high above the road. 

The living space is conveniently split in Chalet Chez Claude and caters for all tastes. Whilst some people will naturally head for the sauna, others may prefer to read or chat around the beautiful log burning stove in the living room, or to catch a movie upstairs in the mezzanine TV lounge. A large flat-screen TV and UK satellite channels ensure that you can still catch Match of the Day or your favourite soaps! 

The chalet is offered on a self-catered basis but we can also offer breakfast deliveries or an upgrade to our fabulous Magic Meals Flexi-Catering service with breakfast, afternoon cakes and fabulous 2 course evening meals delivered to the door. This system offers total privacy, great value for money and fabulous meals with zero effort. 

The service is provided by the local bakery and our good friends at Alpine Adventure. No more cutting short your ski day to go shopping and prepare dinner, this really is fab food with zero hassle and at a fraction of restaurant prices.
