Chalet La Motte
Chalet La Motte is a large owner run luxury catered farmhouse chalet. We are located in the French Alps in the middle of the Grand Massif, which links Les Carroz, Flaine, Morillon and Samoen. However, we are also only 25 minutes from the Porte Du Soleil if you want to try Les Gets, Morzine and Avoriaz, and 20 minutes from Praz De Lys - Sommand. The chalet offers spectacular views of the Aravis Mountains and Arve valley.
The chalet is conveniently located for an abundance of winter and summer activities to suit all. Via the A40 there is easy access to Geneva airport with a transfer time of as little as 50 minutes.
The recently refurbished chalet offers luxury and space and can accommodate up to 10 guests in five spacious suites. Suites are arranged around a large central lounge with UK satellite TV. Downstairs is a separate comfortable lounge with an open fire and satellite TV/Netflix, a very spacious dinning room, plus a gym / kids room with Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade.
Outside is a spacious wooden deck with a large table and seating area (summer use) and a 6 person jacuzzi. The chalet also has a large heated boot room with boot driers and secure storage for any outdoor equipment.
We are a 10 minute drive to the slopes and offer a private minibus service door to door, so no cramming onto ski busses. We also offer free heated ski lockers at the main telecabine.
We can also assist or guide with all aspects of your holiday including ski passes, transfers, lessons and discounted equipment hire.

"While we could see this chalet looked amazing on the website we were still amazed at how beautifully decorated and styled it was in person. Truly luxurious and extremely comfortable, we didn’t want to leave!There are beautiful views down into the valley and skiing nearby in Le Grand Massif.
The food was delicious and the hosts, Martin and Sally, went over and above to accommodate us. We couldn’t fault a single thing, and the gym / sauna/ hot tub were a bonus.
We will definitely be back

"I stayed at the chalet with friends for a long weekend, we had the best ski trip! The chalet was within an hour of the airport, 15 mins to a great ski resort (Grand Massif). The hosts were a British couple who were so kind and went above and beyond to make our trip special. The food was of restaurant standard. The chalet itself was so beautiful, it had been recently renovated by the host and so much thought and love has went into the chalet to give their visitors every perk of a catered chalet. "We had the most incredible few days in Martin and Sally's beautiful chalet. The pictures on the website made us excited to visit, but it is even more beautiful in person. Wonderfully spacious with tasteful decor and personal touches that made it feel very cosy and relaxed throughout the week. Food made by Sally (and scrambled eggs by Martin!) was delicious and plentiful, large hot tub available for use whenever we wanted (with plastic wine glasses!), even a gym for the energetic! Martin was very flexible re drop off and pick up times to the lifts which were about 10 minutes drive away. We also got lucky with the weather with a mix of snow and sunshine so all in all a perfect few days with friends. "I can not Thank Sally and Martin enough. Their hospitality has been out of this world. the most memorable and most wonderful stay I have ever experienced. This most stunning Chalet is an absolute credit to them both. They both think of everything necessary to make our stay so memorable. Both Sally and Martin have been an absolute pleasure to deal with and no matter what we wanted or needed they went out of their way to ensure it was accommodated. Martin and Sally have been so informative and so helpful to all of our requests. As a group of 8, we have been blown away with Martin and Sally’s kindness and generosity and to top it all off having the home away from home feel from the second we walked in the door with 5 star meals with incredible food and drinks. Thank you both ever so much Martin and Sally we are so grateful and will be back again in the near future. I will be sure to spread the word in Ireland about our fantastic stay. 5 star ratings. "I have been on over 10 different ski holidays in the last few years. I said I would try the Chalet life. Stayed with a group of 8 friends and we were all blown away. From the first email Martin was so helpful with Covid rules in France and Switzerland, booking gear and lift passes. Sally was a phenomenal cook all week. "Chalet La Motte is a home from home. Even better than in the photos, this beautiful chalet (inside and out) is set in the most exquisite landscape with so many great activities close by.Sally and Martin are the ultimate hosts. Attentive and informative, they ensured that our stay was just wonderful. Our kids are already asking when we can go back!
