"Recently stayed at Chez Bear Ski Lodge and had the most wonderful week. Every aspect of our ski holiday was better than imagined, the food was exquisite, the chalet luxurious and hosts brilliant. We were so well looked after, and really hope to go back sometime soon. If you haven't been to Serre Chevalier before, i'd highly recommend it, the town is beautiful but not quite as beautiful as the mountains surrounding it.
It's a shame TripAdvisor doesn't allow me to rate more stars."

"Just returned from a weeks skiing and couldn’t have been more happy. The Serre Chavalier ski area was fantastic for all abilities of skiers and the snow conditions were fab.
Joe, Josy and Georgia couldn’t have been more accomadating as nothing was too much trouble. The lodge was of a great standard and more than we expected and the food was to die for.
Definitely going back"

"Everything in the chalet was fabulous, we enjoyed our time there, felt very comfortable, liked the food, the hostess was very friendly and made her best to make us feel as comfortable as possible. During the whole stay we had no issues to complain about. Our preferences for food and drinks were asked about in advance, and everything was prepared to the highest standard.

Thank you a lot Josy for your warm welcome and your care!"

"We were a group of 6 adults, so took over just 3 of the 5 rooms. We wondered who we would be sharing with but need not have worried. The other people who joined us were very friendly and we all enjoyed our meals and down time together with some lively debate. The cinema room was used just the once, but a great place to chill with a glass of wine and a film. The hot tub was in constant use after the skiing and always hot, if a little friendly - just how many can you squeeze in! Joe was in constant demand for trips back and forward to the lifts and nothing was too much trouble. The food was fantastic and freshly cooked by Josy and paired with different wines served each day. The rooms were spotlessly clean and very cosy. It really was home from home, but with the advantage of being waited on hand and foot by Joe, Josy and, of course, Georgia, our fabulous chalet girl. We thoroughly enjoyed the skiing area - lots of variety through the trees and above the tree line - a great resort for mixed ability groups." 12 Apr 18

"The best ski chalet we have stayed in, absolutely stunning with loads of character and facilities, wood fired hot tub, pool table/cinema room, sauna, bar with pizza oven. Great hosts amazing food and wine paired with each meal which was superb. 5mins ride to the lift from the owners and picked up each day. Short 2hr transfer from Turin instead of the 3.5 hr slog we usually have. Really relaxing week thank you for an amazing week hope to come back soon.
Kind regards
Stuart and Helen"

"Joseph, Josy and Georgia are a brilliant team who made me feel as though nothing was too much trouble. They love the area and are so knowledgeable about the skiing and the historical Briancon. Chez Bear is a gorgeous barn conversion which has been tastefully done and is warm and comfortable. The bed is too nice to get out of in the mornings but then breakfast awaits, Joseph's crepes or scrambled eggs, Georgia's porridge, Josy's full English plus croissants, bread, yogurt, fruit - oh so much! There's always a cake of some sort waiting in the afternoon and the evening meal is 3 course plus cheese plus canapés. All yummy. For those who want to relax, the hot tub is stoked every day or there is a sauna, pool table, large screen/cinema or just chill upstairs in the comfy sofas and take in the views.
I love this place so much that I want to come back in the summer to experience some alpine walks. Can't wait"

"The husband and wife couple make a great team running this chalet. The organisation and expertise was outstanding during my stay. This skill resulted in outstanding food fit for a King , or Queen! Although the chalet was a few minutes from the slopes this was not an issue as Joe ran people to the lift and collected them on request.
The facilities were outstanding with a cinema room, outside hot tub ( always kept hot) and sauna. The quality of the accommodation was very good and the Molton Brown goodies were a great idea.
Chez Bear has a commanding view over the mountains and is a quiet spot ideal for a restful break. Transfers to airports are easy and not too expensive.
Serre Chevalier is an amazing ski resort with plenty of intermediate skiing and in March 2018 had outstanding snow conditions.
Well done Chez Bear team you did a great job."
