Chalet JJ

Chalet JJ is a charming catered chalet in the traditional hamlet of La Thuile. It is located a few minutes from Sainte Foy Tarentaise Ski station via the free shuttle bus and less than 20 minutes by car to access Val D'Isere, Tignes, Les Arcs & La Rosiere (where you can ski over to Italy). 

Chalet JJ is a recently renovated barn, blending traditional Savoyarde design with modern facilities. The chalet boasts comfort and character and is spacious with brand new double en suite bedrooms, which sleep 8. The chalet has been restored to maintain many original features along with its purpose built boot and equipment room, secure ski locker and garage for larger equipment such as bikes / golf clubs in the summer.

Your hosts live in the Chalet and are on the spot to greet, assist with luggage, help you orientate yourselves and tailor make your holiday.

We can offer you our negotiated discounts on ski, board and boot hire, as well as mountain bike (standard and electric assisted) in the summer with our partners at Skiset, Ste Foy resort.

We can recommend transfer companies, restaurants (all tried and tested), ski schools, mountain guides and tours, all to make your holiday flow seamlessly and for you to concentrate on having fun !

There is FREE WIFI throughout the chalet and ample parking opposite the chalet. 

Chalet JJ Comfortably Sleeps 8 people in 3 recently renovated double en suite bedrooms and 1 family twin bedroom : 

• Bedroom 1 : A spacious bedroom with en suite. The room can be configured as a Super King or a Twin to sleep 2 people. It has views across to the Aiguille Rouge mountain

• Bedroom 2 : A beautiful double en suite with a view across the Tarentaise valley. Sleeps 2 people

• Bedroom 3 : A Super King or Twin configuration with en suite. Sleeps 2 people

• Bedroom 4 : A lovely characterful Twin bedroom to sleep 2 people. This bedroom has access to the en suite from bedroom 2 via Jack and Jill doors. Ideal for family or friends

All rooms are furnished with luxury Egyptian Cotton Towelling & Bedding and each are equipped with a hairdryer and spacious wardrobes.

The lounge consists of large leather sofas positioned sociably around the fire with plently of space to relax and enjoy coffee, tea, hot chocolate and delicious homemade cakes after your days adventure in the mountains.


There is a large flat screen TV, DVD player, iPod docking station and a PlayStation 3. 

The adjoining dining room is a great place to discuss the days activities / plan routes as well of course to enjoy the home cooked, freshly prepared mouth watering hearty cuisine.

There is a guest boot room to store all of your outside gear with an electric boot warmer. The Chalet also has a separate secure ski locker.

In the summer, equipment such as mountain bikes, road bikes, motorbikes or golf clubs can be stored in the Chalet's secure garage.

Chalet JJ prides itself with homecooked, freshly prepared cuisine using locally sourced products.

For our catered 7 night package :

A "Sparkling" reception (Night 1) : Arrive in style to Chalet JJ and be greeted with a selection of canapes and a glass (or 2) of fizz

Breakfast (every day): Start the day with our hearty cooked fayre of bacon and eggs, mushrooms, hashbrowns, tomato and baked beans, warm croissants, pain au chocolat, fresh baguettes, cereals, muesli, yoghurts and a fresh fruit platter. A continental selection of hams, cheeses and preserves is available upon request.

Afternoon Tea (every day) : Delicious homemade cakes served with fresh coffee, hot chocolate and a selection of teas.

Dinner (6 nights) : Enjoy a 4 course sumptuous dinner in our cosy candle lit dining room, accompanied by the unlimited flowing house wine / soft drinks. We also have an additional carefully selected a la carte wine and champagne list for that extra special touch or celebration.   

For the Chalet staff night off we can recommend several local restaurants, book a table for you and arrange your transport.
