Journey into the heart of the Alps with the Jungfrau Railway, which takes you to the highest railway station in Europe (3454m)
Wengen shares its ski area with Grindelwald, both dominated by the Eiger and the Jungfrau. It can only be reached by a cog railway from Lauterbrunnen, which then continues up the mountain as the main ski lift. There is lots of alpine charm, the traditional look of the village has been maintained, and, like Zermatt, the centre is completely traffic free.
A great area to explore in the summer, with it's superb scenery and fantastic views.

Apres Ski
quite lively with a reasonable choice of places to go. Very pretty charming villagse with relaxed pace.
Non Skiers
beautiful scenery, train is excellent for pedestrians who want to go up the mountain, ice skating. Train also runs to Interlaken and Berne.
