Chef and host couple required for luxury chalet in Chatel Portes du Soleil. Relevant experience essential, preferably in similar standard of chalet, together with the right attitude and passion for great service.
More than competitive package including great accommodation, your own vehicle, lift pass, insurance, equipment and a great chalet to work in! The kitchen is replete with commercial grade equipment, the budget is generous and the chef would have full autonomy over the kitchen and the menu, as long as standards are met within budget of course. There is no micromanagement here so you must be mature and experienced enough to thrive in that kind of environment. There is no age restriction but, especially as a chef, you're unlikely to have had time to gain the required experience if you're under 24.
Pay is dependent on experience but, as with the budget, is very generous. Tips are usually very generous too and you dont share them with anyone else. There'll be a performance based end of season bonus and as much encouragement as possible during the season to be able to get out and enjoy the mountain.
Chalet Blanc sleeps up to 14 but usually full with 10 and as we're at the higher end of the price range the standards and service we offer are equally on the higher end. Full breakfast, afternoon tea, canapes and 3/4 courses for dinner. Hours are usually between 7am-11am and 6:30pm-11pm. There will be a separate driver but some driving of guests may be required as well as for shopping and to get to the chalet - driving licenses for both are essential.
