URGENT Chalet host
Following being let down at the last minute we have a position available for a chalet host to help us at our mountain lodge this summer. We are looking for someone, ideally with chalet hosting/cooking experience, to help run our 6-bedroom (max. 14 guest) chalet in the Pyrenees. You would be working with us when the chalet is full and working independently in quiet weeks. This post is available from the 6th of July for the summer season 2017 until the first week of October.
We are based in the village of Bareges a Pyrenean National Park village at 1250m. The village is an excellent base for road biking, mountain biking, hiking, climbing Paragliding etc. in summer and home to the Grand Tourmalet resort in winter - largest ski area in the French Pyrenees. We are the number one rated chalet in resort and have an excellent reputation for our catering which we would like to maintain.
The chalet has a big kitchen designed for group catering, and there is a spacious 1-bedroom staff apartment with private lounge and en-suite bathroom and private access (we use to live their until having three children...). The mountain village of Bareges is a fairly quiet but friendly resort - great for people looking to practice their French, lovers of the outdoors, or someone just looking for a change from the bustle of the UK/Alps.
Duties include: Shopping, cleaning, cooking, making beds etc.
Pay is £175 per week plus all profits from the chalet bar, all living costs are covered. Applicants need to have a UK National Insurance number with recent UK employment history.
