| NIGHTMARE new year - we booked a holiday for 2 families, and there is NO SNOW.
I posted a request last night, and my sister in law has broken her arm today, so we are down to 4 people rather than the posted 8 last night.
2016 is truley a year to forget!
So - we are looking for accomodation 4 people - 27th Dec to 2nd Jan.
We are driving.
We want snow please!! So only replay if conditions are good, no interest in Chamonix, Chatel etc - I can see snow in Tignes, Val T, La Plange, Les Arcs, Italy, Soutnern alps etc etc
Please help! Self catering is fine, so is catered but we are on a budget as effectuvely we are writing off the accomodation we had booked in La Clusaz.

We can offer you 4 x twins with ensuite in Chalet Juliette, La Tania.
Fast links to the rest of the three valleys, the blue run into the resort is open and with snow.
Some of the best conditions are in the 3 valleys at the moment.
Fantastically located right next to the Moretta Blanche slope this chalet has a stylish modern element whilst retaining a traditional alpine feel.
It has six twins and ond double with ensuite, is ski in, ski out and has a hot tub and boot warming facilities.
We offer a fully catered service to include breakfast, afternoon tea and four course dinner with wine included.
The chalet has a boot warmer, ensuring that you have warm boots in the morning. In the evening look forward to relaxing by the log fire and for your enjoyment there is Satellite TV, WIFI, DVD player and lots of board games and books.
Chalet Juliette has been renovated this summer, with the living area extended and updated as well as new kitchen and redecoration galore.
After extensive renovations, the chalet will have lots more space in the living area and a beautiful new look!
We're having 4 brand new leather sofas, stylish new armchairs and new curtains, as well as opening up the space by taking out the stone chimney and installing a gorgeous contemporary wood-burner which revolves! There's a stunning feature wall in beautiful local slate, as well as a huge new dining table.
We have a great menu devised by our chef chalet manager and a special New Year's Dinner to include champagne and fireworks at midnight in the village.
The price is £499 per person (normally £850)

Sounds like a nightmare and hope we can help! We don't have an abundance of snow here but there is far more skiing available than in La Clusaz by the sounds of things.
Our Chalet Clovis is available near the Prodain cable car to Avoriaz where there are currently 46% of pistes open. It is not as good as knee-deep powder and all runs open but far better than much of the French Alps. The chalet is quite big for 4 of you but we could do a really cheap late deal for you at £1400 with our delicious meal delivery service included (breakfast, afternoon cake and 2 course evening meal).

| We do not control the weather but we can manage it!
La clusaz and le grand bornand have man made runs just like anywhere else in the alps. Look at laclusaz.com Web cam's. Last weekend la clusaz hosted the world cup cross country ski. Which was an excellent achievement in the current conditions (all over europe) don't be fooled by responses that say they have more snow. The weather is the same just managed differently. Really sorry to hear of the problems you have had. My reason for replying is to urge you not to write off Chatel as an option. There are a very limited number resorts in the southern alps with a little more snow however the webcams in Chatel do not show that we have a good size area open with plenty of skiing and really good conditions. We have been skiing everyday since the 13th December in Chatel and Avoriaz.
You would get a fantastic catered chalet at a bargain and have a superb holiday. Its also a much shorter drive from the southern alps.
