We are a group of 9 - 10 adults (which may increase to 12, but unlikely) looking for a chalet for a holiday. Our main criteria is as follows:
- Sole occupancy preferred if possible
- Self-catered preferred if possible
- Large ski area preferred
- Lively nightlife crucial, with bars within walking distance
- Hot tub a nice to have but not essential
- 24th Feb preferred date, 3rd March only alternative
- Not interested in Les Deux Alpes, Morzine, Les Gets or any 3 valleys resorts apart from Meribel
- Particularly interested in options in Austria or Switzerland if available
- Budget for the chalet for the week is up to £5500 based on self-catered accom, not including travel - can be more if other elements included

Not great night life but a local Irish pub across the road
We are situated in the picturesque alpine village of Samoens with Flaine forms part of the Grand Massif Just 1 hour from Geneva.
Chalet Giffre has a great location in the town. The original farm house in the village with a private courtyard and the village on your door step. Just 400m to the church square and Gondola.
Our family run chalet has 6 bedrooms all have en suite shower room and wc. Each room has a double bed and single bed. Bunkbeds can be added to make family rooms sleeping up to 4. The chalet is built over 4 floors, with a log burning stove dividing the dinning area and the lounge area. We have a free bar before dinner offering beers, wines, and a few old favourites like G&T`s in front of the log fire.
We offer fully catered service 6 out of 7 days, cooked breakfast, afternoon tea/coffee with freshly baked cakes, 3 course evening meal and a cheese board served with cold beers and wine.
No walking in ski boots. Two minibuses servicing the chalet we drop you off at the Gondola just 400m in under a minute. The gondola take you to mid station at 1600m. late afternoon collection from 5 different lift stations in the Valley.
