| Looking for accomodation for one week (not Portes de SOleil area) for 2 adults. Close to slopes (max 50-100m). If self catering prefer to have an oven if possible. Need a resort with plenty blue/easy red runs. Would like to try Austria as never skied there before but open to consider other countries.

I can offer you a full ensuite room in my ski to the door catered chalet at Valmorel for £400 each from 9th March for 7 nights.
The lift/pistes are 50m away, the chalet has 20 beds in 8 rooms, hot-tub,
wifi, huge lounge with log fire, chalet bar, great hospitality and cooking.
The village centre of Valmorel is 3 minutes away via frequent free bus
service that runs till 1am.
Valmorel is becoming better known, with 150m of pistes, 40 lifts, genuinely
skiing for all abilities, plus everything is about 30% cheaper than the
neighbouring Tarentaise mega-resorts. 4 day Grande Domaine lift pass costs
€164 euros.
The nearest airport is Chambery, 1 hour away followed by Lyon, Geneva and
Grenoble which are all less than 2 hrs.

We totally understand the location factor, so we could offer you a perfect chalet by the ski lift and the ski hire: Chanterelle looks sweet and romantic among the pine trees, but it is in fact a little skier beast by itself with its superb location on La Plagne 1800 domain as the ski lift Meleze is just down the lane: you can even ski-in ski-out with the level of snow we enjoy now!
I can offer you 1 double room on the top floor (and the views over the slopes): the price for the 2 of you: £750.

We have a couple of rooms available in our Chalet in the French Pyrenees from the 10th March if you fancy trying something different.
