I am a professional chef and own and operate my traditional Savoyard chalet in the lovely, unspoiled village of Samoëns (‘The 4th largest ski area and in the top 3 snow sure resort in France’ -Daily Telegraph 2013; - about 1 hour from Geneva airport. From Samoëns you have access to the Grand Massif (265 km pistes - Flaine, Le Carroz, Morillon and Sixt Fer à Cheval). The Chariande Express, a 6 seater chair lift, between Samoëns 1600 and Tete de Saix has speeded up access to Flaine. Good snow record with a variety of pistes up to 2,500m.

La Grange au Merle is a newly renovated 6 bedroom farmhouse in Châtel at the heart of the Portes du Soleil.
The chalet will be catered for the week by our chef. He is very experienced, having trained in Michelin star restaurants across Europe, and will tailor the menus to the tastes and dietary requirements of the party.
To maximise piste-time, we offer complimentary morning shuttle service to the slopes and collection service between 4-5pm. The ski bus stop is outside our chalet if you wish to return during the day. The chalet is around a 10minute walk from the village square along predominantly flat roads.
Facilities include hot-tub, sauna, boot warmers and a carnozet in the cave below the chalet for evening wine tasting.
The heart of the chalet is the full width living space with south facing views over the mountains. This area comprises a cocktail bar, lounge with traditional fire and dining.
We offer comprehensive packages of services including equipment hire at the chalet, ski pass delivery, lesson booking and airport transfers (90mins from Geneva).
