Thanks for your offer for our party.
At present we are a group of 6 confirmed ( flights booked!) with 2 wavering.
We have not skied in P du S for a few years and would enjoy returning - provided there is decent snow this year..
Just one query - are there any bars locally or is there transport to/ from in the evenings?

Thank you for your enquiry for the 21st-26th Jan.
There is a new bar restaurant 5 mins walk away and our courtesy transport is always on hand for Apres bar visits and for dropping/picking up from the slopes whenever you need.
The new snow last night is a great start to putting in a good base for the coming season and the forecast clearly shows more falling over the next week !

Thank you for your interest in Chalet La Maitreya!
If you have been to Vaujany before you will remember that the skiing is just amazing here! We have just had a good snowfall and there is more to come next week!
Many of the ski lifts have been updated in the last few years. And since three years there is a great après ski bar on the mountain: La Folie Douce.
We can offer a stay for € 499 for 5 nights per person with transfers included. (Sole occupancy of the chalet is possible from 12 people)
The transfer from Geneva takes +- 2h30.

Sounds very tempting.
It looks from the map that you are just out of the village itself.
Do you drop off / pick up from the lifts?
is there any means of getting to and from village later on e.g. to the Swallow bar if it still exists?
Is the airport transfer a private one and if so, what is the max capacity ( may tempt a couple more travellers to come..)

Yes, we are 1.5km from the village.
We have a minibus in which we will take you up to the lift and pick you up again in the afternoon.
Overnight you can leave your skis and boots in the ski shop. This way you can go for a drink after skiing in your normal shoes and don't have to carry around your skis.
If you wish to have a big après ski in Alpe d'Huez one day we are can arrange a taxi to pick you up or pick you up in the minibus.
We are happy to drive you up to the village after dinner if you want to go out.
Swallow bar does not exist anymore but we have heard rumors that there might be new owners this season.
We also have a fully stocked bar in the chalet.
The airport transfer is a private taxi for 8 people. If your group would be larger we may need to change the total price per person slightly.
