My wife and I are on a noble, snow-dusted quest for the ultimate pre-Christmas escape — a chalet so gorgeous it makes Santa consider early retirement.
We’re dreaming of the French Alps, where the snow falls like confetti, the food is so good it should come with a warning label, and the sauna restores our souls (and singes off the stress of 2025).
But most importantly — and I cannot stress this enough —
we want a log fire that is ACTUALLY LIT.
We want crackling, glowing, marshmallow-toasting reality.

We also will be driving so a parking spot would be awesome.
Closeness to slopes is great but happy to walk with our board and skis hand in hand along a cosy path for 10 minutes if needed.
