We have a four bedroom chalet available (sleeping 8 with one child on a camp bed / mattress) for New Year week in Vaujany, which is part of the Alpe d'Huez ski region.
Chalet des Cousins II is available from Sunday 29 December - Sunday 5 January at 3,780 Euros.
This ski area is great as Vaujany has its own ESF ski school which meets every morning at the central lift station which is just 3 minutes walk from our chalets. They have good English instructors and flexible ski school and childcare options (e.g. you can book ski school plus lunch to give you a bit more time on the slopes). As we are so close to the lift station (and a lovely blue or black run down) it is easy to get back for those sharing childcare. In fact we often return to the chalet for lunch with our children as it is so easy to do!
The Vaujany side of the ski area has quieter slopes than the Alpe d'Huez side and is better for beginners.
If you change your mind about childcare there is also a great creche in the village very close to both our chalet and the lift station.
Vaujany also has a state-of-the-art leisure centre (swimming pool and slides etc.), Olympic size ice staking rink (with lots of toys and things for children to hold on to!) and its own bowling alley. This means there is lots to do outside of skiing too.

We are based in the Grand Tourmalet resort - largest ski area in the Pyrenees. The resort is great for families, with lots of long, cruising green and blue pistes, as well as plenty of more challenging slopes and acres of off-piste for advanced skiers. The ski school here works particularly well with children, and you will find prices up to 1/3 cheaper than the Alps for lift passes, lessons, equipment hire, meals out etc.
Our price for a group of 8 or more is just 535 EUR per person half board. If you would like to take exclusive occupancy of the chalet, this is based on the price for 12 sharing. The chalet has a sauna, equipment room, dining room and spacious lounge with bar, wood-stove, books & games, free internet and big-screen home cinema. We are based in the centre of the traditional village of Bareges, so close to all of the amenities, including the wonderful thermal baths, which are great for relaxing after a hard day on the slopes.
Cheap flights to the Pyrenees are available with Ryanair to Lourdes airport (only 50 mins transfer), and prices can be as little as £45 return if you book early.

We can provide a cot and / or high chair if needed for your 2 yr old. Morzine has several really good English-speaking ski schools, and I can help you with finding out about availability for your children.
