Ideally the resort would be within a relatively short transfer of an airport (thinking Geneva but open to other ideas!).
Flexible with catered/self-catered options.
We are not hiring a car so proximity to lifts/shuttle is important.
On a relatively tight budget.

The Grand Massif is the 4th largest ski area in France. Fantastic for all levels. 1h 10m from Geneva.
Chalet Ski-Massif is at 1300m, off the mountain road from Samoëns (720m) up to Samoëns 1600, with uninterrupted views of valleys, mountains, pine trees and snow surrounding the chalet. An idyllic spot and a beautiful drive up and back to the slopes.
I will drop you at the top of a green/blue/red piste within 5 minutes of leaving the chalet - well ahead of people taking 40 minutes to come up from the villages. You can be ahead of the queues and half way to Flaine before the crowds have even put their skis on.
All you need to do is to book your flights. We'll help you with everything else: from transfers, passes, rentals, getting you to the slopes, lessons/guides, and any advice you'd like for the mountain.
This season I have an excellent chef who is passionate about food. Amanda will spoil you with her delicious freshly cooked meals while her husband Peter serves you a selection of 10 wines. Beers and aperitifs are also included.

Chalet La Luge is in the resort of La Tzoumaz, an alternative to Verbier with all the same great skiing, and quieter, gentler slopes this side of the mountain. More après for this year with 3 re-vamped bars/restaurants!
Also, not the same price tag of Verbier, what budget are you looking at?
All rooms have hairdryers, multi UK adapters, bedside USB hubs; bathrobes, slippers and toiletries are supplied.
Situated at an altitude of 1576m we are 600m from the pistes and very popular après bar, 800m from the resort centre.
We run drop offs every morning, getting back is easy, the free ski bus stops 100m from the chalet and it's all downhill :0)
We have both a hot tub and sauna, separate cinema/Smart TV/play room, log fire, wifi throughout, as well as a computer linked TV in the living room.

La Ferme is a beautifully renovated Savoyard farmhouse with exceptionally spacious accommodation in 6 en-suite rooms, great food prepared by a professional and quality wines.

Location: Bansko | Hi Laurence,
Soldeu is in the centre of the Grandvalira ski area of Andorra, with 240km of piste it is the largest ski domain in the Pyrenees. Grandvalira is great for all ability levels from beginner to expert, with 3 freestyle parks and plenty of off-piste. Andorra is more affordable than the Alps, with a beer in the village costing €3.50 and a meal with wine costing around €20. On the slopes, lunch with a drink is around €15 Euros per person and a hot chocolate is around €4.
Chalet Hotel Peretol is a ski-in and ski-out chalet located on the edge of Soldeu and has 11 en-suite bedrooms, available on a room by room basis or exclusive use for larger groups of up to 32 people. There is a spacious dining area, bar, and lounge area with a log fire and plenty of comfy sofas for you to relax on with views of the Sunset Park (freestyle park), which is located immediately next to the chalet.
There is also a bat après-ski bar with its own entrance separate from the chalet hotel, called Buster's Bar which has a pool table, table football and Sports TV which is open to people using the Sunset Park as well as our own chalet hotel guests.
The Half Board price per room per night based on two people sharing is £114, we also have triple and quad rooms available.

Our chalet-hotel offers half board accommodation in snow sure Plagne 1800, part of the Paradiski area. We are next to the slopes and two chair lifts, with the ski school meeting point just across the street.
Facilities include:

2 Bars with terrace (The Bobsleigh Pub and The Skeleton Bar).
Lounge Area, books and DVDs
Ski and Boot Lockers
Luggage room for early arrivals or late departures
Ski passes can be collected on arrival if pre-booked

Covered parking at the hotel is 50 euros a week but there is outdoor parking nearby if preferred. Eurostar travellers have just a short ride up the mountain to reach us so there are no lengthy transfers.

Location: Morzine/Saint Jean D'Aulps - Portes Du Soleil | Hi Laurence,
If you are still looking we invite you to stay at Chalet La Ferme de L'Abbaye available either self catered or catered. Self catered price is 1800€ for 4 nights or catered for £400 per person.
We are just 55km from Geneva airport and part of the Portes Du Soleil with 630km of skiing. The area offers excellent skiing/boarding for all abilities. We drive you to and from your choice of lifts in the area so there is no walking about in ski boots and you can tackle a different resort each day.
The ski bus passes the chalet but if you book a catered service it will include chauffeur service, all your wine, beer and bubbly is on us during dinner, plus a cocktail with your pre-dinner canapes. We provide a place that feels like home with all the special treats you expect from a ski holiday. When you return each day there will be afternoon tea & cakes or hot wings and beer one day if you are so inclined (our fave!)
The chalet sleeps up to 18 in 7 bedrooms with 5 bathrooms and is only 5 minutes walk into town for 4 restaurants and 3 bars. Or you can entertain yourself in Morzine if you are looking for a bigger night out.
