Early stages of looking for a ski holiday. Group would be two families one with 2 adults, 7,5 and 1 year old and the other 2 adults and 3 year old (one room for family of 3 and possible one room for 7 and 5 year old and another for 2 adults and baby.). Ideally an hour or so from Geneva and perhaps 4 nights. Longer would be considered if the resort had a family swimming pool as 1 and 3 year olds wont be skiing. Good skiing/ski school, close by, for the 7 & 5 year olds as that would be the focus of the holiday. Looking for transfers to be included if possible.

The chalet, run by a Chef and Host, has a beautiful open plan living / dining area with wood burning stove, TV/DVD and WIFI, and a snug. There is a hot tub, garden, and a boot room. It is 5 minutes walk to the ski lift (and you can ski in) but we do offer a drop off service mornings and evenings. Our food and service is to an excellent standard.
Valmorel is fantastic for skiing, with 168km for all abilities, there is some independent information here http://www.powderbeds.com/france/valmorel/skiing-guide with a brilliant ski school for the kids. More experienced skiers looking for a bigger ski domaine could make the short journey to Champagny en Vanoise (15 minutes) with access to Paradiski (Les Arcs/ La Plagne) or to Courcheval (30 minutes) for access to the Three Vallies resorts.
Double rooms are 70€ per night (including breakfast)
Family rooms are 70€ + 20€ per child.
10% discount for minimum of 7 nights
Evening meals are 22€ per adult and 12€ per child.

Mr Ski can offer you a great catered chalet in The Portes Du Soleil from 7th Feb joining a family with children aged 5 and 7. Chalet Bal Eteillaz is based in Les Gets , France. The chalet has 5 bedrooms with a selection of double and singles bedrooms all with ensuites, 3 of the rooms have balconies. There is a large lounge with wood burning stove, plenty of comfy sofa seating with patio doors leading to the balcony overlooking the village. We have availability at la petite buche, between the 3rd and 13th we can offer you two double rooms, a bunk room and a single if needed, breakfast and dinner wine and beer included for 60€ per adult, 45€ for each of the two children. As Tim is a full time chef in Crete in the summer season, I can assure you you will be well fed.
We can organise transfers for you, help with lift passes and discounted ski hire, and any lessons you may want, we also provide a little guiding, till you know your way round.
The village of le grand bornand is only a short flat walk away, and has some lovely après ski spots, and is only an hour from Geneva airport.
