| Apologies this IS Switzerland but you will find that the GBP / CHF exchange is stable. The £ has recovered and the rate is no worse than last year. Possibly it is better. Secret Alps has the accommodation that would suit, I think. There are 4 bedrooms that sleep up to 8 guests in complete comfort. Mountain biking and road racing/training are both possible and we can put you in touch with the cycle specialists in the resort. Hiking trails start at the front door. These can be energetic or easy, depending on ability. Public swimming pool and tennis courts are within strolling distance. Other high octane activities including via ferrata and mountain climbing can be arranged. There are also white water activities in the Rhone at Sion which is a 25 minute drive down to the valley. | Hi Simon, This is an interesting one for us as your dates will mean that the lifts are closed for mountain biking and hiking. I would like to make you aware that contrary to former posts the multi- pass is not available after 6 September 2015 so would not suit your purposes. However the town of Les Gets is open until October and is really very pretty with the Lac, fishing, road biking, tennis and the hikes still available. We could probably tie in dates with you to stay in 'The Chalet' for when we return to the UK for a couple of weeks. However, my husband and I are very keen road cyclists and would probably like to stay around to host if it means Biff gets to show you some of the famous cols around here! | Hi Simon I think my chalet in St Jean D'Aulps near Morzine would be perfect for you. The chalet is a beautiful old farmhouse which has just been renovated throughout. It has 4 bedrooms and three bathrooms so plenty of room for your group and a few extras. The chalet has just opened this winter season and is already getting rave reviews which you can see at the bottom of my ad page. It has gorgeous views across the valley from almost every room and a pretty garden bordered by a mountain stream which is perfect for relaxing in in summer. The area also seems to meet all your requirements. There are loads of activities available in summer, and events going on, it is very popular with cyclists and there is also rafting, paragliding and horseriding to name but a few (you can see more activities on my ad page). You can swim at lovely Lake Montriond which is about ten minutes away and there is even a proper beach at Sciez which is about half an hour away on Lake Geneva. The chalet is very conveniently situated close to the centre of St Jean D'Aulps village, just over an hour's drive from Geneva. The local bakeries, supermarket, tourist information and a couple of pubs and restaurants are within a five minute walk. The weekly rate on a sole occupancy self catering basis is £900 including linen and cleaning before and after your stay, as you are coming out of the school holiday season I can offer you the same rate for a 10 day stay and can be flexible on start and finish dates. | Hi Simon Our 2 bedroom apartment in Morzine is available during your dates and if other people want to join you they can take B&B rooms which are in the same building. We're on a quiet back road near to the town centre and the swimming pool. The apartment has 2 twin rooms, a sofa bed in the lounge, 1 bathroom and 1 shower room. Bed linen and towels are provided and free WIFI is available. The kitchen has a small electric hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. We have a garage if you need to lock up bikes at the end of the day, and are close to various TDF cols and routes. As those dates are late for the summer season the lifts will be closed, but you could still do circuits across country instead of full downhill mountain biking. There are loads of activities to do in the Portes du Soleil and the Lac de Montriond is close by as well as the river. | Hi Simon, Our chalet is available for either a week (€750) of for the whole period you mention(€1000). Situated on a dead-end street, and all facilities you ask for within reach. Being a roadcyclist myself,I can assure you it's a great starting place for cycling trips. You can choose the higher slopes north at about 4 km (Joux Plane, Joux Vert, Col de Ramaz,Col de la Colombiere) or the easier ones south of the chalet direction Lake Geneva (but with tremendous views and fabulous descents). Would be glad to advise about it. Lac de Montriond (9 km) is a great place for swimming etc, and you can raft in the Dranse.Canyoning, climbing etc is possible in Morzine (5 km). mountainbike track just behind the chalet. The chalet has 5 bedrooms, each with a shower or bathroom en suite. Large living and an excellent equiuped kitchen. Separate stroage (eg for your bicycle), a real Finnisch sauna (4 persons) with separate relaxation room,competitionsize pooltable. Sunny ánd shady terrace, and lots of parking space. | Hello Simon We have availability at la petite buche for you from the 9th we can offer you the whole chalet, with two double ensuite bedrooms, one twin, and one adult size bunk room. The chalet is warm and cosy with all you would expect, wifi, uktv, a good dvd library, linen, and a large bbq, if you have a chilli night, you can cook on the grill in the open fire, in the sitting room. The chalet has its own private drive, and open views over the river borne, to the front. The pretty mountain village of le grand bornand is only a short flat walk away, and has lots of lovely bars and alpine restaurants to chose from, there is a large open air swimming complex, tennis courts, archery, trampolineing, an adventure park in the trees, and even a 9 hole golf course. The village regularly has the Tour de France going through, so I'm sure there will be plenty of challenging cycling to find in the area. The telecabine to the mountain is just the other side of the village centre and runs during the summer, to get walkers up the mountain, or just to have a look at the view from the top of la chat. | Many thanks for your enquiry. Chalet de Belleville is a great choice for a summer stay. The area is rich in passes for Tour de France admirers and mountain biking (via ski lifts), nature trails, and buggy outings for mountain lovers; all perfect for cyclism adventures! Chalet de Belleville has 5 double rooms with 2 ensuite and 2 shared bathrooms for €2,500 per week (sole occupancy self-catering basis) which includes end of the week clean, linen and logs. Catering is not included but can be arranged. This is a large luxury chalet about 10 mins drive from St Martin de Belleville ski lifts which links to the 3 Valleys ski domain. In brief, the chalet is laid out over 3 floors and includes a cinema room, a lounge with a wood burner, a snug, and a dining room for up to 14 guests, a sunny terrace with BBQ, free WIFI throughout the property and parking off road for up to 3 cars in addition to the garage.
