| Looking for a ski holiday for my wife and I. Ideally somewhere resort based but with opportunity for some easy ski touring day trips or perhaps an overnight trip to a refuge. I would describe my off piste ability as intermediate and my wife as beginner so we are looking for somewhere that might be suitable. Some advice on routes or guide would be appreciated.
We would prefer a catered chalet style accommodation but would consider other options.

The course is aimed at both experienced off piste skiers and good piste skiers looking to venture off piste for the first time. The chalet sleeps 14 people on our off piste week.
We will have 2 guides on hand for the week to help you venture off the beaten track and learn some off piste skiing techniques. Chalet Nordchamp is only an hour from Geneva airport, so nice short transfer times. The ski area is the Grand Massif - 265km of awesome skiing - both in the tree-lined villages and high-up above the tree line in Flaine (2,500m). We hate walking in ski/board boots and reckon guests do too, so we offer a free minibus shuttle for lift drop-off & pick-up. Its just 2-4 minutes to the lift, depending on which of the 3 you choose… so probably less walking in ski boots than a ski in/out chalet! There's some great off-piste in the Gers bowl, and we can hook you up with a guide/refuge-details for touring if that's useful.

The chalet is situated in the Grand Tourmalet resort - largest ski area in the Pyrenees. The resort is great for skiers and boarders of all abilities, with varied groom runs as well as acres of off-piste for advanced skiers including the legendary vertical mile off-piste descent from the Pic du Midi de Bigorre (2877m).
Our accommodation price is just £450 per person half board. The chalet has a sauna, equipment room, dining room and spacious lounge with bar, wood-stove, books & games, free internet and big-screen home cinema. We are based in the centre of the traditional village of Bareges, so close to all of the amenities, including the wonderful thermal baths, which are great for relaxing after a hard day on the slopes.
Cheap flights to the Pyrenees are available with Ryanair to Lourdes airport (only 50 mins transfer), and prices can be as little as £45 return if you book early.

Our chalet is situated just outside of Vaujany, a small, authentic Alpine village. Vaujany is a family friendly village with great amenities such as a swimming pool, bowling, amazing day care, an ice skating rink and daily animations.
We are part of the vast ski area of Alpe d’Huez which is superb for people of all levels of skiing.
Our spacious lounge has a large log fire. On the ground floor we have a bar and dining room where James cooks fantastic three course evening meals.
The chalet sleeps 19 in 8 en-suite bedrooms of which; 6 double/twin rooms, one triple room and one family suite.
There is lots of space for everyone to enjoy their evening as they please. Whether it’s sat in the hot tub watching the sunset, reading a book by the log fire or having a drink in our bar.
