Chalet Namika is an independently run chalet by Ian and myself (June). We aim to provide a relaxing atmosphere where you can chill out after an exciting days skiing. Chalet Namika is a ski in, ski out chalet situated on the sunny slopes of Alpe d’Huez which benefits from glacier skiing. I don't quite meet your criteria of close to slopes as we are 10 minutes drive to the Porte Du Soleil slopes but thought I would contact you as the chalet is very self contained, perfect for 8 people and great for entertaining yourselves with a hottub on the terrace with amazing mountain views, privacy and tranquility, a pool table and bar area downstairs for party evenings and lots of comfy sofa space around a large open fire on the top floor for those more relaxed dining evening, plus a large TV on the too mezzanine floor for movie night.

We could offer you sole occupancy of Chalet Genevieve in Val d'Isère from Sunday, 21st January.
You can ski to the door of the chalet, which is owner-run and situated in the exclusive La Legettaz area at the foot of the Solaise slopes. In the mornings you just need to walk 100 yards down the road before putting on your skis. All five rooms have their own facilities. There is an outdoor hot tub, large sun terrace, log fire, mini bar, boot heater, foot massager, free WIFI, indoor and outdoor parking, to say nothing of the beautiful views up the Manchet valley and over the village.
The Espace Killy has over 300km of piste to suit all abilities and the off-piste possibilities are endless. The village is at 1850m and with two glaciers, you will be assured of good snow. The après-ski entertainment is also varied and plentiful.
Included in the price are a self-service, continental breakfast (fresh bread, croissants, cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit); on five evenings we serve canapés, a main course and dessert with select wines. Tea, coffee and fresh fruit are available at all times.
The living area is cleaned twice during the week. Daily cleaning of the bedrooms and bathrooms is not included but can easily be arranged.
It is a 10 minute walk across the piste into the village center or you can make use of the free bus service that drops you right outside the chalet.
The price for the chalet for 8 of you for the week is 12,735 Euros.

Chamonix has over 150 km of pistes and 15,000 acres of off piste skiing, and with a skiing altitude of 1035 – 3842 metres it has an excellent snow record, the season lasting from December until May. 90% of the ski terrain in the Chamonix Valley is above 2000m's altitude ... making it one of the most snow sure resorts in Europe.
